A group of local businesses have come together to explore if there is an interest for an Old Town Business Improvement District (BID).
We are therefore seeking views from all businesses in the Old Town.
This is not a decision, and nothing is being proposed yet.

A BID is a business-led partnership where businesses vote on whether to invest together in things like cleanliness, safety, and improving the area.
In Edinburgh's New Town, Essential Edinburgh is an example of how this works in practice.
With the Visitor Levy coming in, areas that are organised are better placed to shape how that funding is used.
